Do you have to register your vehicle in Belgium?

Concerning the entry into circulation in Belgium of vehicles imported by residents, Article 3. § 1 of the Royal Decree of 20/07/2001 on the registration of vehicles stipulates: "Persons residing in Belgium shall register the vehicles they wish to put on the road in Belgium in the vehicle register (of the Directorate of Vehicle Registration) referred to in Article 6,  even if these vehicles are already registered abroad".
