As the territory of SHAPE is governed by regulated access and police missions by the Memorandum of Understanding of 1972 between SHAPE and Belgium, it is the Federal Police attached to SHAPE (DAP-SHAPE) that carries out domiciliations on the base.
Therefore, the Federal Police at SHAPE has currently equipped itself with a neighbourhood officer who carries out the same tasks as its counterparts in the Local Police.
You can contact her for any situation that does not require immediate intervention:
- Uncivil behaviour by someone in your neighbourhood;
- Suspicious conduct by a person who is no longer on the premises;
- Neighbourhood dispute for which you would like an amicable settlement rather than filing a complaint;
- Problematic situation in terms of road infrastructure;
- Administrative information (installation of a camera or alarm, change of address, possession of a firearm, etc.)
On the SHAPE site, its role, sometimes preventive, sometimes repressive, is to ensure your safety and to ensure compliance with the General Police Regulations of the City of MONS (Règlement Général de Police — Français - The document only exist in French)
