Hugo HUYGHEBAERT
Since 26 March 2026, 28-year-old Hugo HUYGHEBAERT, who was travelling in China, has been missing.
Around 11.00 am, he left the « Haba Xiyinge » guest house, located in the town of Sanba in Shangri-La, Yunnan Province to begin his ascent of the Haba Snow Mountain.
Hugo is 1m80 tall and skinny. He has short, curly brown hair and a beard. He was wearing grey hiking gear and was carrying a backpack covered with a green cover.
To assist the Belgian and Chinese investigators, the police are appealing for anyone who may have seen Hugo, had contact with him, or who is planning to visit the area shortly and could provide some information.
