NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC: UNSCRUPULOUS BISCUIT SELLERS (SCAM)
For the past ten days, the Sylle & Dendre police zone has noticed a new phenomenon of theft by trickery on its territory.
One or more individuals show up at the homes of the elderly under the pretext of selling biscuits, for charity, sold at an exorbitant price of between 30 and 100 euros per box!
This is of course a scam and a forbidden approach!
The Sylle and Dendre Police Zone calls for the utmost vigilance and advises you :
• Do not open your door to strangers;
• Do not let them into your home.
• Do not leave your doors and windows open unattended if you are present in your home;
• Do not give them money, do not buy the cookies;
• contact police services directly by calling 101 or Shape Federal Police calltaker;
• to note and relay any useful information about the perpetrator(s) (description, distinctive sign, number plate, etc.) to the police.
IMPORTANT: Not everyone uses social media and may not see this message. We ask you to discuss this with those around you in order to call for the utmost vigilance.
